Tomorrow Sleep Review

One of the most promising newcomers to the online mattress industry is Tomorrow Sleep. They're made by Serta Simmons, the largest manufacturer of mattresses in the US.

The Gist

Along with mattresses, the company also carries a number of other sleep-related products such as mattress protectors, pillows, sheets, and comforters. They even have a device that is designed to track your sleep. For this review, however, we are focusing on their medium-firm mattress. To get an idea of how it measures up, keep reading.

You Might Like Tomorrow Sleep If...

  • You enjoy the comfort of memory foam but don't want to feel like you are trapped or stuck in your mattress. Because of the responsive top layer incorporated into the design of this mattress, it doesn't create the feeling of sinking too far down into the mattress. The internal pocketed coils provide additional support, as well. One of the chief complaints that people have about memory foam mattresses is that they make them feel trapped or stuck when they sink down into the mattress. Because of the way this mattress is designed, it eliminates that feeling while still providing relief from painful pressure points. This is one area where hybrid mattresses shine.

  • You like the idea of a memory foam mattress but are worried about getting too hot at night. Memory foam mattresses are notoriously hot to sleep on. This mattress addresses that problem head-on through the use of special phase change material in the upper layer of the mattress. The side rails with perforation and the inner coil system also help prevent heat from accumulating.

  • You sleep with someone else. The design of the Tomorrow Sleep mattress helps eliminate motion transfer, making it an ideal choice for couples. You and your partner don't have to worry about disturbing each other if you move around during the night.

What Firmness Should You Opt For?

When testing the mattress, I found that the medium-firm version was soft enough to provide pressure relief while still providing support. Ultimately, I think that the medium-firm version is probably the best choice for most people. The only exception would be if you always sleep on your side and if you don't weigh very much. In that case, the medium-soft version might be a good fit for you. Based on my experience, however, I would recommend the medium-firm version for the average person.

How Hot Is The Mattress To Sleep On?

When sleeping on this mattress, I didn't have any problems with overheating. This is most likely due to the perforations in the sides of the mattress along with the special phase change material that is infused into the upper layer. This helps create a breathable mattress that stays relatively cool. Even though it might not be the most breathable mattress on the market, it is far better than most memory foam mattresses in terms of providing a cool night's sleep.

What Makes This Mattress Special?

  • One of the best parts about this mattress is that it feels like a memory foam mattress but doesn't have a lot of the problems that go along with traditional memory foam. For instance, it doesn't make you feel like you are stuck in the mattress and it doesn't cause you to overheat.

  • It is constructed out of top-of-the-line materials and features superior durability when compared to mattresses that are similarly priced.

  • The mattress is backed by Serta Simmons, one of the best-known companies in the industry.

  • It does an excellent job of relieving pressure points for side sleepers while at the same time offering enough support for people who sleep on their stomachs or backs.

How Effective Is It At Minimizing Motion Transfer?

For a visual example of how effectively this mattress handles motion transfer, check out the video that follows. The mattress is relatively effective at keeping any movements isolated. This is due to the combination of the memory foam and the pocketed coils. Since it is effective at minimizing motion transfer, it is a good option for couples.
